OK everybody this is my First Blog ever so please forgive me for any mistakes!
Great turn out today at our weekly workshop
This week we made mini mosaic tiles from our favourite store + yellow moon, we prefer to use pva glue instead of grout as the pvc is less messy and gives the tiles a lovely gloss finish.(photos to follow)
We also made memory boxes covered with tissue paper, buttons, painted and personalised with hand prints to keep all those special photos, paintings and stories from 2012.
Foam book markers- to make these we simply cut a strip from a foam sheet. Then cut tiny squares out to form the 2013 logo and added so leaf foam stickers to finish.
The Foam mosaic tile was a simple line drawing of a flower on a piece of thick card. Then cut different shapes and colours of foam for the flower/stem and background and fill in as much space as possible sticking with pva glue.
All these creations are made by my own 4 children Lucas age 8, Matthew 6 and twins Ben & Kate 4 .
I believe that the end product should be achievable and not perfect , it is all about the fun we have along the way
Hope this gives you and your little artists some inspiration https://www.facebook.com/kidsartworld
